One bright star...

“He turns not back who is bound to a star” Leonardo daVinci

Cool Autumn weather brings clear night skies and a perfect time to view the firmament.  I remember as a child, getting up in the darkness to take a family trip.  Up before the sun and sleepy-eyed, filled with excitement for the day ahead. Watching from my back seat window as the car rambled down the road, and searching... for the brightest star.

Numbers 24-17 says, "Falling into a trance, but having his eyes open: I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: There shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a scepter shall rise out of Israel." Clearly, the brightest star shall lead us. His name is Jesus Christ. No other is the brightest star.

It is a great comfort to know the star is always there; even on a cloudy night, He leads us. "We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts." 2Peter 1:19. When we ask Jesus into our heart, there is no longer clouds or darkness, but light.
Revelation 22:16 says, “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” Do not fear or worry, look to the brightest morning star. Faith will guide you...and faith is all you need.
